Delete your Flip the Script account

You can delete your account and the data attached to it in two ways, and you do not need the app installed to ask.

This page covers the app listed as FlipTheScript. on Google Play and Flip the Script. on the App Store, published by Wildfire Leadership, LLC, a program of Wildfire Foundation.

Option 1 · In the app

Delete it yourself

  1. Open Flip the Script and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted right away.

Option 2 · By email

Ask us to delete it

Use this if you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in. Email us from the address on your account with the subject Delete my Flip The Script account, and include the email your account uses. We may need to verify your identity first, and we action requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in credentials
  • Your profile information and photo
  • Your journal entries, notes, and saved Scripture
  • Your flips, devotionals, and chat history
  • Your highlights and reading history stored by us

This cannot be undone. There is no recovery period and no way to restore an account once it is deleted.

What we have to keep

Billing and transaction records

Kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years. These are held by Apple, Google, or our payment processor, and are not used to identify you in the app.

Anonymized, aggregated analytics

Kept indefinitely. This data cannot be traced back to you.

Encrypted backups

Residual copies may persist for up to 30 days before they roll off.

Before you delete

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because Apple and Google handle the billing. On iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, then your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions. If you delete without cancelling, you may continue to be charged.

Your YouVersion account is separate

If you connected YouVersion, deleting here removes our copy of your data and disconnects the two apps. It does not delete your YouVersion account or the highlights stored in the Bible App. Manage those in the YouVersion Bible App.
