Bible verses for when you feel like a bad mom

Every mom has days she thinks she's getting it all wrong. These verses are for those days.

The thought

“I'm a bad mom, and my kids deserve better.”

The truth

God gives grace to tired parents, and He cares about your kids even more than you do.

Four verses for today

  1. 1Isaiah 40:11

    Read in context
He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes.

God is pictured as a shepherd who gently leads mothers with young ones. He's tender with the people in your spot.

  2. 2Romans 8:1

    Read in context
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

If you belong to Christ, guilt over your mistakes doesn't get the last word. There's no condemnation.

  3. 3Philippians 1:6

    Read in context
being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

God is still at work in you, and He finishes what He starts.

  4. 42 Corinthians 12:9

    Read in context
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.

God's strength shows up in weakness, so your limits are a place for His help, not proof you've failed.

Verses from the Berean Standard Bible.

A prayer

God, I'm tired and I feel like I'm failing. Forgive me where I've been wrong, and help me forgive myself. Give me patience and love for my kids today. Amen.
