Paul tells outsiders they're no longer strangers. They're members of God's household.
21 Peter 2:10
Read in contextOnce you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Peter says people who once had no place are now God's people. It's mercy that changed it.
31 John 3:1
Read in contextBehold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
John points to the Father's love as the reason we're called His children. It's something He gave.
4Romans 15:7
Read in contextAccept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring glory to God.
Christians are told to welcome each other the way Christ welcomed them. It's a call for us, too.
