Bible verses for when you feel alone
Being surrounded by people can still leave you lonely. These verses are for the quiet moments when no one seems to be there.
The thought
“I'm all by myself, and nobody cares.”
The truth
God is with you right now, and He cares about you when you're lonely.
Four verses for today
1Deuteronomy 31:8
Read in contextThe LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.
Moses said this to Joshua before a hard job: God goes ahead of you and won't leave you. Hebrews 13:5 makes the same promise to every believer.
2Psalm 25:16
Read in contextTurn to me and be gracious, for I am lonely and afflicted.
David says plainly that he's lonely and asks God to turn to him. It's okay to say the same.
3Psalm 27:10
Read in contextThough my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
Even if the closest people let you down, the Lord takes you in.
4John 14:18
Read in contextI will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
Jesus told His friends He wouldn't leave them on their own like orphans. He keeps that promise to His people.
Verses from the Berean Standard Bible.
A prayer
God, I feel alone tonight. Thank you that you're here even when I can't feel it. Please bring good people into my life, and help me reach out to them. Amen.
